We are pleased to announce to you the upcoming ENGAGER Workshop on Co-Creating the “Right to Energy” in Theory and Practice, taking place on 8-9th January 2020 at the University of Groningen (The Netherlands).
The purpose of this workshop is to examine and co-create the meaning, purpose, rights and duties associated with the ‘right to energy’ in a dialogue across theory and practice. We expressly invite academics from different disciplines and civil society to participate in the investigation of what the ‘right to energy’ adds to debates on European energy poverty specifically, and to concerns about energy access generally.
The event will feature internationally renowned keynote speakers, such as Prof. Benjamin Sovacool, Prof. Jackie Dugard or Prof. Gordon Walker, jointly with social organizations as the EPSU or the Alliance against Energy Poverty. The workshop will host several panel discussions in which will participate near 20 researchers that will share their investigation on the right to energy.
For more information on the programme and registration, please access: http://www.engager-energy.net/right-to-energy-workshop/
The event is free but places are limited, so registration is required. You can register until the 30th of December.
For any practical questions about the organisation of the Workshop, please contact the lead-organizers for this event: right2energy2020@gmail.com
