In 2020, 8 percent of Italian families were experiencing energy poverty.
The Italian Observatory on Energy Poverty (OIPE) updates its estimate of the incidence of energy poverty in 2020 (8,0% or 2,1 million families). The measure, used by the Italian Government in the 2017 National Energy Strategy (SEN) and in the 2019 National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC), is enriched with some considerations regarding the electricity and gas bonus.
